Spouses in the spotlight
Article Abstract:
Most organizations that relocate executives to Switzerland try to anticipate the problems that spouses may encounter and are prepared to provide advice on job and educational opportunities available in the country. Spouses, particularly wives, are often ready to give up their jobs to concentrate on parenting since company benefits in Switzerland tend to be fairly generous. However, spouses who wish to work often discover that it is not too difficult to find employment if they really wish to, provided they are able to secure work permits.

No room at the inn
Article Abstract:
The growing international business community in Switzerland has led to a crunch in services affecting the families of foreigners working in the country. International schools have not been able to keep up with the steep growth in student population. Thus, some of these schools and their affiliated dormitories have been forced to reject some enrollees. Swiss international schools, unlike the expensive private schools, usually accept corporate subsidized studentry.
