In a pickle: retired businessmean gives Rao political heartburn
Article Abstract:
Indian businessman Lakhubhai Pathak is implicating former Indian Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao as an accessory in his fraud case against a guru named Chandraswami. Pathak claims he was defrauded of $100,000 by Chandraswami over a government contract for newsprint that appeared to have Rao's blessing. Many feel this case only adds to the call to remove Rao as head of the Congress Party because of his weak leadership and other allegations of impropriety.
