Diana Chen Ningning, China Oriental Group Co.'s vice chair and second largest shareholder, has presented a takeover bid for the remaining shares of the firm. Ningning, who already owns 28% of the firm, is offering 38.3 cents in a cash-and-bond deal, valuing China Oriental at $1.1 bil. Analysts believe the bid is likely to be unsuccessful, as it undervalues the shares according to current market statistics.
