Successful year for Europe's aerospace industry
Article Abstract:
Europe's aerospace industry is projected to show continuous growth although overall performance is levelling off after four years of strong growth. Statistics published by the European Assn of Aerospace Industries reveal that turnover increased by 5% to 66 billion while profit margins as a percentage of turnover increased by 7% despite increased competition in all sectors. Major restructuring has reshaped the industry in 1999 and 2000 which has created powerful multinational companies.
