Centrum commands as much as 40% of Canada's adult multivitamins market, which the company claims is due to strong branding. Private labels hold second place with a 29.6% share of the market followed by Jamieson Laboratories at third with 9.8%. Private labels account for a huge portion of multivitamin sales due to lower prices but have been hobbled by consumper perception of inferior quality. Roots Canada has also created its own vitamin line through an alliance with Boehringer Ingelheim.
