Taking the stock home
Article Abstract:
There are still considerable barriers to the creation of a pan-Nordic stock exchange, but it now seems very likely that this plan will go ahead. The key issues to be resolved before a pan-Nordic stock exchange can be created have their roots in the differing political developments in Scandinavian countries over recent decades. A pan-Nordic stock exchange would boost domestic and intra-Nordic consolidation in the Nordic region, and would also benefit the corporate finance community.

Whose side are you on?
Article Abstract:
The high failure rate of hostile takeover bids means the aggressive acquisition method should only be used as a last resort and after all other avenues have been explored. London is the world centre for hostile bid activities, with advisers continuing to target firms and directors on a personal level. Research has shown the success rate of hostile bids is very low and the companies themselves often have a difficult time after a bid has been agreed.
