Telenor buys Vodafone unit

Telenor A/S of Norway is to acquire Vodafone Group PLC's Swedish wireless telecommunications unit valued at 1.04 billion Euros ($1.25 billion). Telenor A/S will be buying the third largest wireless telecommunications company in Sweden, Vodafone Group PLC has 15 million customer and 15 percent of market share. Telenor A/S shares rose 7.2 percent or 4.25 Kronor to 63.50 Kronor.
