Growth levels in terms of nominal value were varied in the four remaining vital markets for textile washing products, with the United Kingdom enjoying growth of 14.5% and France enjoying growth of 3.7%.

Detergent manufacturers have targeted auxiliary or niche product sectors as a result of market saturation in the detergents sector. The textile washing product sector in the United Kingdom also proved to be the most dynamic from 1993 to 1997, as revenues in terms of value rose by 14.5% in the country.
