The Hungarian market for cosmetics and toiletries
Article Abstract:
The cosmetics and toiletries industry of Hungary, which is comprised of baby care, hair care, skin care, and deodorants, was dominated by the hair care sector with a value of about $83.5 million in 1997. Economic changes that have resulted in more disposable incomes have positively influenced the market. Proctor and Gamble leads the hair care sector with its two shampoo brands, Pantene and Head and Shoulders. The bath and shower sector, which was estimated to be worth $44.7 million in 1997, is dominated by Henkel and Procter and Gamble, with their Fa and Camay brands, respectively.
