The writings of the Unabomber, who is alleged to be Theodore Kaczinski, have much in common with the views of the Neo-Luddites. The Neo-Luddite movement, which is led by Kirkpatrick Sale and others, advocates and end to rampant consumerism and the technology-based economy.

One Southern Baptist family had to decide whether or not they would allow a fetal-to-fetal tissue transplant for their son who suffers from Hurler's syndrome. The family is opposed to abortion, which is where the tissue was obtained.
