Retail distribution of hair care products will continue to be dominated by hypermarkets, forecast to experience a share increase of 0.6 percentage points to 24.8% over 1996 to 2001.

Growth in the value of domestic tourism in several major European markets, particularly Spain, is likely to be significantly affected by weak currencies. The Spanish domestic tourism market is projected to grow 19.8% between 1997 and 2002, the second highest growth rate. UK will likely experience the highest growth rate at 35.2% over the forecast period due to changing holidaying habits and better economic conditions. France, however, is only expected to see real value growth of less than 2% over the forecast period due to an entrenched tradition of spending holidays outside France.
