An analysis of the economic situation shows that most markets have not remained idle and that the past holiday season showed that consumers have become more willing to invest their money. However, builders and other businesses should keep in mind that consumers are more discriminating and will ensure that they get their money's worth before they start spending their money especially on higher priced items.

She is keen to emphasise that equality in employment will not necessarily bring any additional costs for a company. Indeed, any company which does not have equality cannot be competitive. A negative judgement could create bad publicity which would severely damage a company's image.
