The invisible man: anthropology
Article Abstract:
Remains of a man dead for about 9,300 years found in Kennewick, WA, have stirred a debate of the racial origin of what is now the US. The man is said to have caucasian features, which could dispel the theory that Asians migrated to the US. Indian tribes have claim to the remains, and may bury them again.

An anthropology of happiness
Article Abstract:
Many of the thousands of Filipina women who are 'amah' or domestic helpers in Hong Kong are mistreated or forced to live in poor conditions, but despite this they seem to be truly happy. This may be due to the Filipino culture of 'shared being' and sense of togetherness.

New research reported at the 1998 American Assn for the Advancement of Science meeting indicates that the Americas were first populated as long as 40,000 years ago. Evidence of the early humans includes hair, linguistic relationships and DNA divergence.
