Article Abstract:
Software developers in Asia are competing on an international market, where they had previously been unable to compete with the US. Software companies are thriving in markets for anti-virus programs, Chinese language software, and customization of programs for individual users. Asian companies are working with American developers to produce programs that operate on American platforms. The Internet has helped Asian developers in providing a means for marketing and answering design questions. However, obstacles to success include the high rate of piracy, government control, and reluctant investors.

Article Abstract:
The growth of roads and rails in China is not keeping up with the growth in the economy. While China's GNP is expected to increase 10% annually for the next five years, road and rail capacities are expected to only grow between 2% and 4%. McDonald's is using truck fleets, while Coca-Cola is employing peddlers to carry their product.
