Travel without ticket may soon be a reality and not a bad dream
Article Abstract:
Airlines are considering the implementation of electronic ticketing, in an attempt to enhance flight travel services and alleviate the hassles associated with issuing tickets. China Airlines, in particular, has developed a mainframe computer which allows passengers to book a flight, pay transportation charges through credit cards and make inquiries by phone or fax. However, the system is not capable of restoring adequate passenger information. Software developers have been hindered to come up with such systems due to immigration rules.
