We're not Japan
Article Abstract:
While the bubble of South Korea's property market has burst, it is not as severe a collapse as Japan's. South Korean banks do not offer mortgage financing and routinely undervalue the land they hold as collateral, so they are not threatened. South Korean landlords require larger deposits as property values and interest rates drop, to make up for their loss of interest income. As the deposits approach the down payment for a new home, the market will rise again.

Traveller's tales
Article Abstract:
The large crowds at South Korea's Yongpyong Ski Resort is a testament to the tenacious nature of the Korean people. Koreans of all ages converge on the slopes in their attempts to learn the rudiments of skiing, a relatively new sport in the country. Despite the frequent wipe-outs and minor accidents, the drive to and from the resort remains the most dangerous part of skiing in South Korea.
