Stanley Kubrick died in 1999 after completing 'Eyes Wide Shut', his last movie. He had produced 13 feature films over his life and four such films in a period of 28 years. He was especially interested in war as a theme for movies and 'Dr Strangelove', 'Paths of Glory' and 'Fear and Desire' are three examples of his movies dealing wit the subject. His 'A Clockwork Orange' was adapted from the novel by Anthony Burgess, and it deals with the issue of free will and the essence of humanity.
