Turning Japanese
Article Abstract:
Foreign Office Architects' (FOA) Spanish Pavilion, which is inspired by Islamic and Christian traditions of the Iberian Peninsula, was presented at Aichi 2005, the International Expo in Japan. Details of the facade, which is a simple device, composed of three different types of ceramic hexagons that recall shapes used in Spanish architecture and refer to the center of Japanese ceramics are provided.

Herzog & de Meuron: No.250 exhibition was held at the Herzog & de Meuron's Schaulager building in Basel, England. Almost a hundred architectural projects undertaken by the Company are presented through drawings, photographs, models, samples, materials, prototypes and mock-ups.

An exhibition named ' Caruso St John - Cover Versions' is held at the Architectural Association gallery from 8 October to 3 November 2005. Some of the displays include photos and models of Brick House and the Museum of Childhood Job.
