UBS cuts risk, lowers profit goals
Article Abstract:
Executives with UBS AG announced that they have reduced their profit goals. The company has lessened its "risk appetite" in its Warbug Dillon Read investment banking unit. The UBS executives also said that the company will focus more on less-risky core businesses. They believe that they will make more equity available by doing so. UBS is studying the possibility of implementing a stock repurchase program as a result.
