UK: Prudential asked to protect clients' funds
Article Abstract:
Prudential has been asked by the FSA to ensure clients' funds are protected following the arrest of several employees by City of London Police on alleged fraud charges. One of those arrested is thought to be a top official within the department handling investigations concerning the alleged mis-selling of personal pensions. A top employee at another firm with a beneficial interest is also believed to be involved. Prudential is believed to have contacted the police after finding discrepancies, with the arrests reportedly made on 26 September 2001 without being publicised.

UK: UK's first system to quash mis-selling launched
Article Abstract:
The e-business provider, Aqera, has joined with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to produce the UK's first commercially available online system, the Collaborative Business Review System (c-BRS) to stamp out mis-selling, which has cost the industry billions of pounds and untold damage in lost reputation with customers.
