U.K. appears to ease off on tax plan

The UK government will maintain tax breaks for offshore trust income after a negative response by the public, investors, and tax advisers to proposals to tighten those tax breaks. However, the government announced it will go ahead with a plan to establish a flat tax for non-domiciles of about $58,500 per year after they have resided for seven years in the UK.
