U.S. advertisers join to demand 'family-friendly' shows
Article Abstract:
A number of the biggest and more powerful television advertisers in the US have banded together to demand for more family oriented television programs. The Family Friendly Programming Forum is a group of 26 advertisers that accounts for more than $26.5 billion in television advertising expenditures in the US. The group will launch a scholarship program in TV writing, a fund for script development and an event called 'The Family Program Awards.'

Lennon sketches to adorn babywear line
Article Abstract:
William Carter Co will feature sketches made by John Lennon in its Real Love line of infant apparel. The sketches, made by Lennon for his son Sean, features animals and celestial objects. The release of the baby-wear line, which also includes beddings, sleepers, wallpapers and other arts and crafts kits, will coincide with the release of a book version of the drawings. The 40-page book will be published by Random House.

'Guy in a bear suit' launches Labatt USA's Blue effort

Labatt USA Inc is introducing promoting its Blue beer brand in Canada via an advertising campaign that features a bear who crosses the border into the US in search for fun and adventure. The campaign was created by Adam Godstein, creative director at Ammirati Puris Lintas Inc in New York. Goldstein sasys the ads aims to highlight Americans' limited knowledge about their neighbors to the north.
