U.S. could face new export tariffs
Article Abstract:
In light of U.S. refusal to repeal a law that permits the U.S. government to channel money collected from anti-dumping tariffs directly in to U.S. companies, the World Trade Organization has ruled that major U.S. trading partners can impose punitive tariffs on U.S. imports. The decision comes in response to a complaint filed with the WTO by ten countries and the European Union claiming that the U.S. practice violates international trade agreements.
