Publisher Reed Elsevier to sell education unit

Reed Elsevier PLC of the United Kingdom is planning to divest its textbook publishing unit. The British publisher is selling because of a slow market in online textbooks. The unit is valued at between 1.6 billion Pounds ($3.1 billion) to 2 billion Pounds ($3.9 billion).

Universal Music, Bertelsmann unit get EU approval
