Evian Waters of France Inc's market share of 12.7% of French mineral water industry in Nov 1998, increased to 13.4% after just one month run of its 'Water Ballet' television commercial. The 45-second spot features babies diving, swimming and surfing on the fountain's waves making synchronized figures to the tune of Marilyn Monroe's 'Bye Bye Baby.' In March 1999, the C$1.75 million commercial, which was the most expensive produced in France in 1998, reached a record high of 94% approval from French viewers.

ExtendMedia plans IPO for growth

Toronto, Ontario-based Digital Renaissance Inc's new name is ExtendMedia Inc. Aside from the name change, ExtendMedia's other plans include an initial public offering that will enable its growth in the US. It also plans to deliver Internet content and integrated television for its clients. In fact, it has already designed Internet and broadband solutions for retail, cable and telecommunications clients such as Alliance Atlantis' Life Network.

Re/Max ads put lien on consumers

Re/Max, a real estate brokerage firm, is transforming its advertising from one that is agent-centered to one that is consumer-centered. Advertising agency Holmes and Lee of Toronto, Ontario, has won the account previously handled by Kuleba and Shyllit, also of Toronto, without a review. The ad consists of a series of four national billboards with a planned launching of TV and print ads for fall 1999.
