Article Abstract:
Nuclea (Trebic, Czech Republic), manufacturer and supplier of equipment for power engineering and the heating industry, is improving its results. The company saw a turnover of nearly 160 mil Kc in 1997 compared to nearly 6 mil Kc in 1993, when it was set up. The supply of equipment for a reconstructed heating plant in Hodonin, the Czech Republic, is one of the firm's largest contracts. Nuclea realised the contract worth about 130 mil Kc through Austrian Energy and Environment (Austria) and Strojexport Trade (Prague, Czech Republic). Besides, Nuclea participated in the reconstruction of a chemical sewage treatment plant according to the know-how of Philip Mueller (Germany) at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station, Czech Republic. Nuclea has about 150 employees. The firm is resident at the former firm Statni traktorova stanice (Trebic, Czech Republic), which was bought by two technicians in 1993. -called pit heap.

Squeezing cylinders in small and medium-sized series
Article Abstract:
Hydraulic CR (Jihlava, Czech Republic), squeezing cylinder manufacturer, generates a turnover of about 60 mil Kc per year. The company, which has 125 employees, is focused on made-to- order production of small and medium-sized series of squeezing cylinders for press brakes and plate shears, presses for powder metallurgy, construction and mining machines. Hydraulic CR exports more than 85% of its squeezing cylinder production to Western European countries. The firm has developed and manufactures the standard line of rotary squeezing cylinders. The company also manufactures the complete line of drills with exchangeable cutting tips.

Jawa (Divisov, Czech Republic), speedway motorcycle manufacturer, plans to produce goods worth CEK 86 mil in 2000. Jawa should export 90% of its production in 2000. The firm saw a turnover of CEK 34 mil in 1993, when it was privatized. It has invested over CEK 22 mil in new technology and equipment since 1993. It has also set up a trade, designing and development centre. Currently, Jawa is building a new technical development building. The firm's suppliers are Metaz (Tynec, Czech Republic), which supplies castings and forgings, CZ (Strakonice, Czech Republic), chain supplier, and Jawa (Kamenice, Czech Republic). Jawa Divisov has 1,125 employees.
