Neil Spiller's new ideas umbrella is the AVATAR (Advanced Virtual Technology Architectural Research Lab), which will stage its first exhibition in November 2004. His ideas are aimed at sharing information and proactive problem-solving, and reflect the relationship between architectural design and the theory of digital space.

Shaping up nicely
Article Abstract:
Parametric design is well advanced in areas such as engineering and industrial design, aerospace and automotive design in which complex three-dimensional shapes have to be analyzed. In terms of the MicroStation/AutoCAD phase of CAD, parametric design looks set to be part of future architectural computer modeling.
