Who should be German, then
Article Abstract:
The issues of naturalization and immigration have become important in the German elections. There are almost 7.5 million foreigners living in Germany, and more than a quarter of these have lived in Germany for two decades or more Citizenship laws mean that those of German ancestry can become German citizens, though they may not know German, while Turks born in Germany with perfect command of German cannot easily be naturalized. The Bavarians are seeking quotas on immigrants, while Social Democrats wish to loosen immigration rules.
