Why outdoor's a great medium for PSAs
Article Abstract:
Outdoor display advertisements are an ideal medium for public service advertising. Most public service subjects are difficult to discuss on television. Thus, an increasing number of public service advertisers are using outdoor displays and billboards to reach their core audience, with many relying on emotionally impactful advertisements to communicate their messages. Since public service ads are really about solving society's big problems, outdoor displays which can be viewed by anyone are the most effective way of reaching a niche group and, in some cases, a broader audience.
