Article Abstract:
The idea of "great solitude" for various urban locations is being advertised. However, "great solitude" is actually available solely to the courageous and frequently the affluent. It could be a challenge for urban designers to create areas of solitude for reflection and contemplation.

The city of Prague is plotting its future. Its people will be involved in future plans for the city and a rigid framework will be put in place for this purpose. The problem with the plan is it treats Prague like any other European city, ignoring the city's uniqueness.
