Yoohoo! We're still here: how others saw it
Article Abstract:
The issue of Britain's role in Europe was absent from the UK's election campaign of 1992, despite the fact that the Thatcher government was brought down 18 months prior on just that issue. Getting the medium across: the media and the campaign
Article Abstract:
Press and broadcast media coverage of the UK's 1992 general election focussed more on party tactics than on substantive discussions of the issues. Much of the debate on the issue of national health service was poorly conducted, with embarrassing case studies replacing genuine policy presentations.
