Zellers Inc, based in Toronto, Canada, is emphasizing price and promotions in a new television campaign that will start running during the Academy Awards on Mar 26, 2000. The campaign consists of three spots that highlight Zellers' Club Z loyalty program contest called 'Of course I want to be a millionaire.' Airing from Mar 27 to Apr 20 nationwide, the television spots centers on a mother who has hired an executive assistants to do daily tasks after winning the $1 million.

Seagate digs new campaign

Seagate Software Inc of Vancouver, British Columbia, has launched a $10- million marketing campaign to promote its data mining software in North America. The campaign includes direct mail, newspaper ads, inserts, a Web site and trade advertising. It was developed by Cossette Communication- Marketing, which replaced Seattle, WA-based Elgin DDB as Seagate's agency of record in early 1999.
