Article Abstract:
Raytheon TI Systems, McKinney, Texas, is being awarded $34,469,677 as part of a $70,478,878 (base year total) firm-fixed-price, multi-year and time and materials contract with a cumulative total of $532,543,609, if all options are exercised, for the acquisition of production quantities of the Thermal Weapon Sight and Driver's Vision Enhancer systems, to include option quantities of the Thermal Weapon Sight. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Jan. 20, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-C-J815).

Raytheon Systems Co., Los Angeles, Calif., was awarded on June 12, 1998, a $1,750,000 increment as part of a not-to-exceed $19,500,000 letter contract for developing two improved transmitters for Sentinel Radar. Work will be performed in Los Angeles, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 14, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0213).
