Article Abstract:
The MITRE Corporation, McLean, VA., is being awarded an increment (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) as part of an estimated cumulative total of $1,032,924,139 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for operation of the Department of Defense (DOD) command, control, communications, and intelligence (C31) federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) which provides integrated systems engineering and integration support for DOD, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. Work will be performed in McLean, VA. (51%), Bedford, Mass. (11%), Eatontown, N.J. (12%) and various on site locations (26%), and is expected to be completed by Sept 30, 2003. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug 14, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-99-C-C201).

Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc., Sealy, Texas, is being awarded $27,046,877 as the first increment of an estimated $1,383,914,426 four-year/multi-year firm-fixed-price contract (includes a one year option) for 113 various 2 1/2 and 5 ton trucks and respective trailers, part of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 4, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 10, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-98-C-M005).
