Olin Corp., Winchester Division, Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., is being awarded an $18,353,797 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for the operation and maintenance of a government-owned/contractor-operated facility and production of small caliber ammunition, e.g., 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, and caliber .50. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Of the total contract funds, $1,490 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 9, 1999. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).

Work will be performed in Sacramento, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
