Army has more time to mull ACS fixes

The US Army has extended the time to consider Lockheed Martin Corporation proposals to repair its failed Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) program. The stop-work order on the ACS program is extended by 30 days, where the new deadline would be January 26, 2006, and this extension is required to give Army more time to review Lockheed Martin's four detailed proposals on the program's path forward.

Northrop Grumman to advance 'Military Grade' Laser Tech

Northrop Grumman is awarded a $56.7 million contract to develop solid-state laser technology for the military to incorporate high-energy laser systems across all services, including ships, manned and unmanned aircrafts and ground vehicles.
