BAE targets U.S. anti-mine market, including LCS gear

BAE Systems is working hard to sell off its anti-mine technologies in the U.S. market making out that the Navy's mission will take it into potentially mine-infested coastal waters. Three of its new U.S. divisions will be teamed up to become the provider of solutions for use in littoral waters for mine warfare in order to give BAE a more visible U.S. market presence for its mine warfare products.

Army lifts FCS funds ceiling by $6.4 billion

The Boeing Co. announced that the army agrees to raise the cost ceiling on the Future Combat Systems (FCS) by $6.4 billion. The agreement to the system development and demonstration (SDD) phase of FCS, a complex, multi-year systems-of-systems' project would deploy advanced communications for linking troops with manned and unmanned platforms and sensors.

BAE lands Slovak military deal
Article Abstract:
BAE Systems has won a contract from the Slovak Republic to supply a mobile military communications system. The system, MOKYS, is fully interoperable with communications systems used by the US, NATO and the European Union (EU) and the company expects to begin delivering the product in the first quarter of 2006.
