Clark seeks more input in procurement decisions
Article Abstract:
Admiral Vern Clark, chief of naval operations, requested a more formal input into Navy procurement decisions, while stressing that he already has a strong working relationship with John Yong, assistant Navy secretary for research, development and acquisition. Clark made his request in response to questioning by lawmakers at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on his re-nomination to serve another two years as CNO.

Northrop Grumman warns suppliers not to fete employees

Northrop Grumman Corporation has sent a warning letter to its subcontractors and suppliers, warning them not to invite Northrop Grumman employees to holiday festivities. The company policy forbids its employees from soliciting or accepting gifts, gratuities, entertainment or favors from suppliers in order to avoid ethical and functional problems that have troubled other defense contractors.

Senators assail Stryker overweight problems
Article Abstract:
The concern regarding the Stryker armored vehicle being too heavy to be transported on C-130 aircraft as intended is focused. The Stryker was expected to be a system that was going to be the centerpiece for the reorganization of the Army and it is an issue unsolved that how could this heavy Stryker be transported easily.
