Creating the quality mindset among senior managers
Article Abstract:
Current trends in corporate management call for the development of quality mindset among senior managers. As competition among business enterprises becomes more intense, the need for total quality management (TQM) becomes more apparent. Senior managers must be perceptive enough to incorporate TQM principles in their plans and emphasize total quality control in products and services at all times. Their effort to introduce organizational reforms and enhance their company's competitive edge would be meaningless if they do not consider the integral areas of total quality.

We can't improve American quality if we aren't teaching it
Article Abstract:
Total quality management is coming under widespread use in US firms. However, a commitment to quality should begin at the initial stages of education. The US educational system continues to use education in quality only as a supplement to the mainstream education approach. In contrast, other industrial nations have an advanced level of education in quality. If US firms intend to retain their leadership in the global market, an overhaul of the education system is needed.
