Delisting threat looms large on biotech front
Article Abstract:
The first three quarters of the year 2004 reported that delistings of about 52 stocks and 70 companies against 193 companies in the year 2003.Poor market performance is partly responsible for a large number of biotech companies being delisted along with the companies who do not have products advanced enough to sustain investor's interest over long periods of time.

The biotech is big business and record numbers of PhDs are trading the ivory tower for industry in which being good at research is not enough for success in the biotech business. The Biotechnology Industry Organization, revealed that 1500-biotech companies in the United States have combined revenues exceeding $40 billion.
