Electric power production grew in 2000
Article Abstract:
Czech Republic: According to data from the Czech Statistical Office, electric power production grew by 14% to 67,751 GWh in 2000 compared to 1999. The volume of domestic electric power consumption increased by only 2.8% to 57,734 GWh during the same period. Electric power imports decreased by 0.7% and electric power exports rose by 118.4% in 2000 compared to 1999.

Moraviapress's proceeds increase

Moraviapress (Breclav, Czech Republic), printing company, increased its proceeds to about CEK 1.7 bil in 2000 compared to CEK 1.595 bil in 1999. In 2000 Moraviapress processed 26 t of paper. More than 80% of the firm's 2000 production were represented by periodical printing. Moraviapress is a part of the group Goldmann.
