Evaluating the economic effectiveness of pathogen reduction technologies in cattle slaughter plants
Article Abstract:
The cost effectiveness of pathogen-reducing technologies is analyzed in order to evaluate food-processing firm's pathogen control through a probabilistic risk analysis model based on typical slaughterhouse practices linked to a decision model. The report indicated the contribution of institutional barrier and incomplete markets affect the adoption and development of more effective pathogen reduction technologies.
