The Conference of Defense Association Institute, an influential lobby group, is urging the new Canadian Conservative government to buy domestic defense wares when updating military equipment. It is important to design equipment that meets the needs of the military, rather than expecting the Canadian military to adapt to foreign-designed and foreign-built platforms.
