When insiders sell laggards ... be wary
Article Abstract:
Insider selling in weak stocks should be taken as a hint of unfavorable prospects, as this implies that insiders are not confident enough that the issue will manage a rebound. Insider followers must be doubly cautious when it comes to insider selling of underperformers, such as retail stocks. These retail issues have declined despite the robustness of the market. Among these are Wal-Mart, Consolidated Stores, May Department Stores and Ross Stores.
