Mulberry hopes to boost brand awareness
Article Abstract:
Mulberry was set up in 1971 by Roger Saul, the company's chief executive and chairman. Saul aims to convert Mulberry to a world wide brand name for accessories, clothing, watches and other products. United Kingdom sales have been strong, accounting for 44% of the total, but the UK consumer boom will end at some point. The company's profit is forecast at 2.8 million pounds sterling for 1997 to 1998 by Teather and Greenwood, a downward revision from 3.2 million pounds, partly due to the impact of pound sterling on exports.
