Alpha Marine Services, Galliano, La., is being awarded a $34,450,000 firm-fixed-price with reimbursables contract for time charter of R/V Cory Chouest to provide the principal support platform for the government's surveillance towed array sonar system and the low frequency active array system. The charter period is for five years with the U.S. government's option to cancel after Dec. 31, 1999. Work will be performed in the Pacific Fleet area, and is expected to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-99-C-2000).

Raytheon Systems Company, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $16,579,296 modification to previously awarded contract N00030-98-C-0009 to exercise options to perform repair of TRIDENT II MK6 missile guidance system electronic assemblies, and to provide related hardware. This modification increases the cumulative value of this contract to $30,458,622. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and is expected to be completed in March 2000. Contract funds in the amount of $9,131,856 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
