Article Abstract:
Raytheon Systems Co., Naval and Maritime Systems Div., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $22,457,352 cost-plus-award-fee letter contract for three ship self-defense systems (SSDS) for MK 2 equipment shipsets in support of CVN 76, LPD 17, and LPD 18. The SSDS implements an evolutionary development of improved ship self-defense capabilities against high- speed, low-flying, anti-ship cruise missiles for selected non-AEGIS ships. The work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (90%), and Portsmouth, R.I. (10%), and is expected to be completed in February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-5108).

Northrop Grumman Field Support Service, Inc., Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $13,896,000 not-to-exceed delivery order against an existing basic ordering agreement for the procurement of 79 F-14B vertical display indicator group system kits (5 pre-production and 74 production). Work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
