Occupational slips and falls: more than a trivial problem
Article Abstract:
Analysis of the computerized records of Liberty Manuals' workers' compensation claims database for claims fixed in 1989 and 1990 reveals that occupational slips and falls are claimed most in the clerical category and is the second most claimed injury for trucking, restaurants and drivers. Falls cost the highest for industries including constructions, restaurants and clerical groups. Efforts to make the work-place ergonomically safer will prove beneficial for both the employee and the employer.
