Only mPOWER copy plays straight man
Article Abstract:
A new print advertisement for Multimedia Design Corp.'s mPOWER presentation software shows a business presenter using a handheld puppet to generate interest in his pitch. The main criticism regarding the ad is its use of humor to sell presentation software. There is nothing really wrong with humor but it is somewhat out of place since it could have a trivializing effect on this type of product. In addition, the ad uses three typefaces and two colors for the closing lines of the text when the closing lines would have been more effective if a cleaner, less-cluttered look was used.
