Program officer ecautiously optimistic' on JSF weight fix

The top military officer overseeing the record-large F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program stated that a Lockheed Martin Corp. plan to solve the JSF overweight problem might get solved. Rear Adm. Steven Enewold, Joint Strike Fighter program executive officer stated that the JSF is now projected to meet all key performance parameters, with reducing weight of the aircraft and increasing the engine force to offset weight.

Raytheon JSOW missile moves to full rate production

A successful operational test has signaled the full rate production of Raytheon' s Joint Stand-Off Weapon (JSOW-C), which is designed to provide the U.S. Navy with a launch-and-leave, standoff precision strike capability. The missile will incorporate BAE System's two-stage Broach lethal package that provides blast, fragmentation and penetration capability.
